A Google developer has revealed all the details about the upcoming first preview of Android 15. The first developer preview for Android V (Vanilla Ice Cream), as it is known internally, goes live tomorrow, February 15th. This timing makes sense and happens a week later.
Android 15 brings many innovations
Android 15 is expected to introduce a Private Space feature that will allow you to block certain apps from appearing in your app list. Lock Screen widgets are expected to return, and Google is expected to introduce full-screen apps that will display content below navigation and status bars. Android 15 DP is available on Google Pixel 6 and newer Pixel devices.
Developer preview builds are only recommended for app developers to use for app testing, but as long as you have a supported Pixel device, you’ll be able to download and install the firmware build.
