Pianist and composer André Manoukian has just released Anouch, a record in which he reconnects with his Armenian roots and notably pays homage to his grandmother deported after the 1915 genocide. On Anouch, the pianist is surrounded by his quartet of jazz and several singers, including those of the Bulgarian group Les Balkanes.
