Anders will freeze his head when he dies – pays millions

Being frozen in the hope of being resurrected in the future sounds like something taken from a comic book. But soon that method may be a reality after all. And the possibility of testing whether it works already exists through cryotechnology.

Anders will freeze his head when he dies

One who has invested a lot of money in being frozen when he dies is the futurist Anders Sandberg. In Tuesday’s “After five” in TV4 he told us about the investment, which will cost one million kroner.

– It’s a gamble, we don’t know if the technology will work, says Anders Sandberg.

But despite that, he thinks it’s worth taking the chance.

– It’s worth trying, better than giving up.

He wants to freeze his head and hopes that the technology of the future will make it possible for him to fix a body.

– I reckon you can fix a body. The technology needed to repair the damage you get from being frozen after all, aside from what would blow my mind, it’s pretty advanced after all. You have to be able to repair and make new cells anyway. Then you might as well make a body.

However, it is not certain that the technology will work, it is after all a so-called long shot. Many experts are skeptical about whether it is even possible to ever revive a frozen body, but Anders Sandberg wants to take the chance.
