The first Advent has passed and now many Swedish households are starting to count down to Christmas Eve. In connection with 1 December, many also start decorating for Christmas – and some may have already started.
In TV4’s long-running “News Morning”, some of the presenters reveal how they have celebrated their Advent and which Christmas decorations have gone up in the homes.

The couple Anders Pihlblad and Henrik Alsterdal light the first candle
The presenters Anders Pihlblad56, and Henrik Alsterdal45, is, as many already know, married and living together.
In “Nyhetsmorgon”, Pihlblad tells us that the couple has produced their traditional “Christmas kiwi”. In a clip on Pihlblad’s Instagram, which is also shown in “Nyhetsmorgon”, you can see how he lights the first candle in the couple’s Advent candlestick.

In the live broadcast, the colleagues discuss how they have prepared for Christmas during the first Advent.
– We have put up some candlesticks and poinsettias at home, says Lavasani in the program.
Anders Pihlblad, who sits with her on the broadcast, reveals a more unusual Christmas tradition: He gives Christmas presents to his children – every Advent.
– Your children are big too, Lavasani filled in.
– Yes, they are teenagers, but they still think you should have these Advent gifts, Pihlblad said then.
– Yes, I understand that!, Lavanasi bursts out.

Pihlblad then continues in “News Morning” by telling about yet another slightly unusual Christmas tradition.
– Maybe it was actually that we snuck up in the morning and opened some packages which we then wrapped again, he laughed in the box.
