They never got to play with each other.
But Anders Limpar knows exactly what he thinks of Zlatan Ibrahimovic anyway.
– He is a one-man team, Limpar has admitted.
Anders Limpar is one of the greatest Swedish soccer players of all time. The winger started his football career in BP, after playing in AIK as a boy player. Limpar then played in many clubs over the years, including Young Boys, Everton and Birmingham City.
Limpar’s successes
But the greatest were the four years at Arsenal, where Limpar scored 19 goals in a total of 105 games, and managed to usurp a bit of icon status at the English club. He was given the nickname “Super Swede” by Arsenal supporters. In the Swedish national team, there were six goals in 58 games.

Limpar finished his career with, among other things, a SM gold, a Premier League title, WC bronze from 1994, and the Golden Ball from 1991 when he hung up his football boots in 2002.
As early as 1996, Anders made his last international match, with an appearance in a World Cup qualifying match against Latvia. He thus never had the chance to play with Sweden’s all-time greatest – Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Shout out to Zlatan
But Limpar still has a clear opinion of Ibra, and chose to praise him to the skies in an interview ahead of Sweden’s European Championship group stage match against England in 2012.
– In my opinion, Zlatan is much better than any of England’s players. He is one of the best players I have seen. He is a one-man team, he is to Sweden what Maradona was to Argentina, the guy who makes the difference, Limpar told Arsenal’s website.

They never got to play with each other, but Ibrahimovic and Limpar met outside the football field. Then Anders got, to say the least, a good impression of the superstar Ibra.
– I know him privately, and he is a fantastic guy, very friendly, a big personality, and I know that the English are a little afraid of him. I really love him as a player. He is from another planet, Limpar said.
