“Go up go to work, work work work eat lunch, the same thing happens tomorrow. Work-Åka trick-home to sit on glo. It’s no life”, sang Joakim Thåström In Ebba Gröns What will you be? 1987.
Breaking away from the squirrel wheel is perhaps an unattainable imagination for many. Work less or maybe not at all. Don’t have to stress. Have more time for family and friends. Enjoy your spare time. But it may not always be so easy.
Anders Boisen left his 9-5 job
The Danish Anders Boisen stopped dreaming and made a hit. He had a “top job” and “served well”, he has told insider. But it was still something that wasted. He felt neither satisfied nor happy. He longed for a more simple lifestyle.
– I just sat in that chair in front of a screen all day and no one was particularly affected by the job I did, he has told in an interview with Business Insider.
By 2020 he resigned from his top job. He lived in the heart of the big city of Aarhus, but finally decided to leave the stressful city behind. He went to the forest to build his dream house. Anders Boisen has never looked back.
Anders Boisen built a house of 14 square
He started building on the house. 14 square. No running water, no electricity. Yet Anders Boisen is self -sufficient. He grows vegetables and buys game from neighbors. On Instagram he has told us that a deer will be about 15 kilos of meat – food that lasts a long time. He lives well with the food.
Anders Boisen has also written a book about the art of “downsiza”. In 2022 he released “about living small and living well”, where he tells more about why he chose to move out into the forest and become self -sufficient.

In a video on its Youtube channel Anders tells us more about what it means to live “off grid”. He collects rainwater and has solar panels. A mulltoa is available for “number 1” and “number 2”. He chops in the forest to be able to fire. As you understand, it is full roll. Anders even grows his own mushrooms and has made his own “champagne”!
It probably won’t be lonely. In addition to neighbors, Anders also has company of his four -legged friend BORSIMAT which is a mix of shepherd, sled dog and border collie.

Anders Boisen jobs today – does he make money?
So how does he get everything going around?
In a video on his Youtube, Anders has answered a question that many of his followers have. Many people are curious about whether Anders has any job. Does he have any money? Does he even need money?
In addition to growing and preserving his own food, Anders makes sure to actually have a job that gives actual money.
– I need some money to do. I have courses in building and so I lead courses in permaculture and in becoming self -sufficient. But what I make the most money on is actually giving lectures on what it is like to live off Grid in a mini house. I am also a freelance teacher and teach people to build small houses which is very meaningful. Because I get to help others fulfill their dreams of living small. It’s so much more meaningful than sitting at a desk that I did before.
