World Cup queen Ebba Andersson cannot get enough of skiing this season.
Now that the last World Cup weekend has been bent, she has decided to run the two final races in Ski Classics as well.
-It suits her perfectly, says SVT expert Anders Blomquist.
Like many other traditional skiers have Ebba Andersson27, decided that she does not want to go on vacation yet. She chooses to extend the racing season by running the two remaining long runs in Ski Classics this weekend. It is the Norwegian Reista Race (46 km long) and the 60 km long season finale in Bardufos-Finnsnes.
Ebba Andersson meets Stina Nilsson again
This is not the first time Ebba has started in an official Ski Classics race, she has actually been three times before and won all. Most recently was 2022 when she just won the Reista race. She also came one in the mountain top last year, but it was not part of the professional tour but the challenge tour.

However, this is the first time that Ebba Andersson is set against his old colleague and competitor Stina Nilsson31, as is well known, has switched to long -distance races from biathlon, and before that cross -country skiing. She has won the last three races in the Långloppscupen (Vasaloppet, Birkebeinerrennet and Marcialonga Bodö) and is really hot right now.

Ebba thus pulls up to northern Norway to link the international competition bag for the year. Then only the SM finish in Kalix remains on April 3-6 before it is time to take a longer break.
“Ebba Andersson has been registered for both races this weekend, where she will be helped by Team Engcon,” the organizers write in a message for this weekend’s Ski Classics.

When the SVT expert Anders Blomquist64, is told that the World Cup star should join in and go long-distance, he tells SVT Sport that he thinks she has good chances to win.
– It is a race where the ladies can go with a bracket and that suits her perfectly.
Hagström and Carl also participate
Also Johanna Hagström And German Victoria Carl Should join Ski Classics now at the end of the season.
– Carl has really given himself a real challenge: five miles in the World Cup finish in Lahti this weekend, followed by travel to the Military World Cup in Switzerland with two competitions this week and then ending with two hard races this weekend with lots of height meters for over ten miles – maybe in heavy spring snow, says Blomquist.
So good job during the season, Ebba. Especially in the World Cup you were absolutely incredible and it resulted in three gold medals. Really well done! Now you have to run the last Ski Classics races and then take well deserved rest.
