Linn Svahn missed the World Cup due to a concussion.

No good season for Linn Svahn
It was not the first time that an injury prevented or affected Linn Svahn in a championship. During the World Cup in Oberstdorf 2021 she suffered from a shoulder injury. The Olympics in Beijing the following year she missed due to surgery. She also felt the damage during the World Cup in Planica 2023.
– But then, she is a refined girl. She has been involved in these bangs before and she is wonderfully good at handling it in a professional way I think. Then it is clear that she would have liked to be there and show what she is going for. Sometimes you can’t decide how things should be with such things and then you just have to accept it and start from the situation you have, says Rickard Noberius.

Even if you ignore the World Cup, the season was unfortunately a failure for Linn. From being one of the world’s best skiers last year to barely being able to compete this year. She really has not been able to perform as she wanted. She certainly won the sprint in Falun just a week before the World Cup-and she came second in Val di Fiemme sprint in the Tour de Ski-but otherwise the good results have been absent.

– It has been a pretty tricky season for Linn Svahn who made it so good last year. It may sound hard to say that someone who only competed in Ruka, Falun and in the Tour de Ski had a bad year, especially considering that she also missed the World Cup. But it is not possible to make another assessment because she has been away so much and because she was not very good in neither Ruka nor in Toblach.
– It was a very poor season for her. She won a race. She was second in Val di Fiemme during the Tour de Ski. She had won that race with better skis. It is good results anyway, but for Linn Svahn it is a pretty bad season considering what she has in the body and what she can, says Blomquist.
