Linn Svahn crashed the day before the World Cup sprint and suffered a concussion.
A month later, SVT expert Anders Blomquist comes with a new statement about her.
“It was such a shame about her,” he tells SVT Sport.
Barely two weeks before the ski World Cup in Trondheim won Linn Svahn25, World Cup sprint in Falun. She followed it up with a seventh place in the 10-kilometer race the following day. Then everyone thought she was more than ready to fight for the medals in the World Cup.

But just a day before the sprint would be decided on the arena in Granåsen, Svahn fell into a downhill and hit his head. She suffered a concussion and was forced to cancel the entire championship. She had to go home to Sweden and rest up.

When the Sports Bible called the national team doctor Rickard Noberius Two weeks ago he gave an update on how things are going now for Linn Svahn with rehabilitation.
– Gradually it goes in the right direction. It has really been after expectation. Then you can never say how long it takes for the individual, he said, explaining what is waiting for Linn:
– The plan is for us to continue with a very accurate rehab for her to come back as soon as possible in full training and full activity to be able to charge for the next season. It is our focus and there is Linn completely on the same course.
Anders Blomquist’s sad words about Linn
Now it has been almost a month since Linn Svahn’s crash. SVT expert Anders Blomquist64, has described their feelings after the sprint star’s dull accident.
– This year’s great sadness was that Linn Svahn in shape after a semi -comprehensive season gets an injury again before a championship. She could have been built on the Swedish wave of success and took an individual gold too, he says to SVT Sport in her annual chronicle.

“The flower” ends by saying that Linn Svahn’s concussion, just before the World Cup, is what has been the most difficult for him to witness this season. Especially if you see it all with blue -yellow glasses.
– It was such a shame about her. It was a shame to see. That was probably what pains most this winter, he says.
It was so sad that Linn Svahn missed the entire World Cup due to an injury she sustained the day before the race. Extreme bad luck really. We all hope that she comes back stronger than ever when it’s time.
