Stina Nilsson continues to make a big success in Långlopp.
This weekend she took her second straight victory at Ski Classics.
Now SVT expert Anders Blomquist says what everyone has to hear.
The switch from biathlon to long race has proven to be a complete big success for Stina Nilsson. Already during her debut season, she shows weekend after weekend that she is one of the very best skiers in the sport.
Stina Nilsson’s success
At the beginning of March, Nilsson surprised many when she took home the classic Vasaloppet in her first start in her career. Now she has continued on the winning track and this weekend Stina took her second straight victory in Ski Classics.

The Swede was completely superior in the Norwegian Birkebeinerrennet at 54 kilometers and won by over 30 seconds down to second and third, which was the overall leader Anniken made Alnäs And the Norwegian big star Emilie Fleten.
– A fantastic good day, great body and great skis, says Stina in the victory interview after the race.
– It went well (up in the mountains). It became a bit tactical and very headwind. I froze a lot down to that pond, so I was happy when I had to go a little up afterwards and get the heat up.

Nilsson is now four in the total position for Ski Classics with 2,730 points when three races remain for the season. Leads make the aforementioned Gjerde Alnäs with 3,430 points in the Long Race Cup.
– Right now I’m in a very good phase. It is super fun to get a lot of fun and to get one year with Ragde (her Norwegian team). I look forward to a good summer now, says Stina, and tells you more about the ride that decided the race in Norway.
– A few times earlier this year I have regretted that I have not driven when I have been cheerful, because you never know how long you are. Usually it disappears no matter how hard you drive so now I really wanted to play on my strengths and I am very happy with the result.
