Stina Nilsson is just finished with her first season as a long race.
She does it with four individual winnings in the ski classics on the track record.
-What she has done this winter has been very good, says SVT expert Anders Blomquist.
After last season announced Stina Nilsson31, that she made her biathlete. Four years after the switch from cross -country skiing to biathlon, she would instead invest in long -distance races. It turned out to be a thunder success for the Malung girl.
Stina Nilsson’s impressive debut year
Already during the first season in the Ski Classics (Long Race Cup) she showed that she will be expected in the future. After a couple of medium efforts at the beginning of the season, she really found the form at the end. Stina won four competitions starting in Vasaloppet on March 2. Then she also won Marcialonga Bodö, the Birkebeinerennet and the Klarälvsloppet (preseason).
– I’m super happy with the last races. I have become incredibly much better during the season, Nilsson myself tells SVT Sport.

Stina Nilsson finally came third in the total cup after the Norwegians Anikken made Alnæs and Emilie Fleten. Extra proud was Dalkullan over the victory in the Vasaloppet.
– The barrier I broke at Vasaloppet is totally sick for me. I can check back on that race and think, “Is it really me?”. God what day I had. I am incredibly proud, she says.

– Stina Nilsson’s debut season in Ski Classics has been wonderful to follow. Curious, talented, driven, constantly evolving. And as she has developed her stake skiing, her endurance skiing and sprinting ability even in the long races, he tells SVT Sport.
