Anders Bagge on Saturday’s theme: “Talk about Halloween horror!”

CHRONICLE: Bagge on Saturday’s theme • And the poem to the late mother: “It’s lonely to be left behind”

Ten idols divided into five pairs. Each pair competes in a one-on-one duel. As usual, we in the jury offer opinions, but it’s you at home on the sofas who vote.

In each duel, a winner and a loser are crowned.
(I just have to add one thing here, which has to do with when I was in Mello. Coming second isn’t actually losing! I don’t think so anyway…)

Back to the duel.
The winner is safe until next Saturday, while the runner-up in the duel hangs loose. Talk about Halloween horror! I think all ten idols would rather be sitting in a bathtub full of spiders and snakes than hanging loose. Trick or treat? Hanging loose or sitting securely?

“The worst tonight was still Leo against Margaux”

What is extra scary about Saturday’s format is that artists who should actually be sitting safely have a fifty percent chance of hanging loose. I was really nervous about this, rightfully so as it turned out. All the duels were exciting and a couple of them were real nail biters.

Lukas and Minou were a really even duel, but the worst tonight was still Leo against Margaux. The falsetto prince versus the soul princess. I haven’t seen the numbers but I understand it was a really even beard. Too bad both couldn’t win that particular duel.

Another artist I have to highlight today is Joel. Holy shit! The ceilings are high in the Philadelphia church, but he raised the ceiling several meters more with his performance. Here we have a really competent singer who can also rap – or is he a really competent rapper who can also sing? Whatever he is, I firmly believe in him and his future career. Then it was wonderful to see his face when Jireel surprised him with a live tribute, watch it if you didn’t see it.

Haven’t seen the Skånepågen for the last time

Everyone was really good tonight but there is always someone who has to leave us. Unfortunately we don’t get to hear more from Lucas Schönfeldt in Idol, it was really sad. There was so much more I would have liked the chance to say to him. But believe me, we haven’t seen the last of that Skåne påg.

Jury’s choice

Next week the theme is “Jury’s choice”. I’ve been flipping through all my old records and cassette tapes to find what I think is the right song for the right artist. The jury’s choice is exciting because the jury consists of four people with their own expertise and their own visions of where each Idol should land in their artistic expression. Neither I nor anyone else in the jury, for that matter, knows which song the artists choose before the live broadcast. Exciting!

The poem to mother – and thanks to the followers

I would like to finish by thanking all the nice people around me and everyone who follows me Instagram. Last Thursday my mother was buried and it was both beautiful and heavy. When I have felt low after that, I have received a lot of strength and joy from all the nice greetings that you have written to me.

I haven’t been able to answer everything, but you should know that I’ve read everything you’ve written and every little heart, every participating and compassionate word has been like a band-aid on my slightly bruised soul. Everything that is difficult becomes so much easier when you support each other.
I have written a few lines about it after the funeral.

It is lonely to be left
When a loved one is gone
But look around
There are many others
Which is also missing
Who also longs
Let’s hold each other’s hands
Share my loneliness
Let me share your loss
So maybe we are not so alone anymore

Now have a fantastic Sunday with loved ones,
Hug Anders
