The County Administrative Board backs.

The 2,000 -year -old neck ring was not genuine.

– It lacks cultural -historical value, says Mats Herklint, head of the County Administrative Board’s cultural environment unit.

The ancient find was fake.

On Tuesday, the County Administrative Board of Västergötland went out with a press release describing the finding, whose age was estimated at 2000 years, as both unique and “very valuable”.

But after the rumor is spreading that it is all about a bus where a person himself manufactured and placed the object – the county administrative board has tried to counter.

“We have made our own assessment and double -checked with experts just on the Iron Age gold objects,” said Niklas Ytterberg, antiquarian at the County Administrative Board Västra Götaland on Thursday.

On Friday, a chemical analysis would be done to prove the authenticity of the object – but the outcome was not as the county administrative board hoped.

In a press release, they now go out with a dementia.

– It does not contain gold. Especially iron. Thus, one must conclude that it is not an ancient find, says Mats Herklint, head of the County Administrative Board’s cultural environment unit.

He believes that much “indicates” that the rumors are correct.

– We think it’s a modern object, says Mats Herklint.

According to the rumor that has reached Aftonbladet, the item is made of steel wire and spray paint from Biltema.

The chemical analysis shows that it consists of iron, zinc and copper.

But who is behind it is still unknown. However, Aftonbladet has applied for a man who is said to have created the object.

He later replies to SMS that he does not know anything about the matter.
