Anchovy shortage before Christmas
There is a shortage of the Christmas favorite anchovies again this year.
“The range of anchovies is limited, which can lead to some stores having less access to the products. This is because the size of the herring from which anchovies are made has been smaller, which has caused production problems,” writes Edvin Nestor, Category Manager at ICA Sweden, to Aftonbladet.
The range can vary from store to store and Ica is working to ensure that all stores get anchovies. They also urge customers not to hoard.
“We advise our customers not to buy more anchovies than they need,” he writes.
