(Finance) – It is Nicola Biscotti the new President designated for the next four years 2022/2026 of ANAV, the Association of Bus Passenger Transport of Confindustria. The presentation of the program and the team of the President-designate – reads the note – will take place at the next meeting of the General Council scheduled for May and the official investiture will then be formalized in the Annual Assembly of 23 June in Rome.
Born in 1958, a degree in Law, married and with two children, Cookies (which received the unanimity of the votes during the General Council of the Association which took place yesterday) boasts a very long experience and important positions in the associative field. Already twice at the top of ANAV, of which he was President in the four years 2004-2008 and 2012-2016, and current member of the Presidential Council and the General Council of the Association, he was also President of the Young Entrepreneurs of Confindustria Puglia and then of Confindustria Foggia, as well as a member of the Board of Confindustria continuously from 1995 to 2009.
As an entrepreneur, Cookies operates in all bus transport, being the head of a group of companies active, with the ACAPT and SAPS brands, in all three sectors of the sector: local public transport, national and international long-range lines, bus rental with driver. In particular, he holds the position of Sole Director of SAPS and General Manager of ACAPT, as well as a member of the Board of Directors of COTRAP, consortium that brings together over 60 local public transport companies operating in the Puglia Region. In his current curriculum also the position of Member of the Board of the Chamber of Commerce of Foggia and of Confindustria Foggia as well as Director of SIA Srl, a real estate company controlled by ANAV.
ANAV – reads the note – represents a fundamental and qualified part of the collective transport sector with 35,000 employees and almost 29,000 buses for a sales which, in the pre-Covid years, reached i 2.6 billion euros per year. Also adheres to Federtrasporto and Federturismo, as a component of the collective and tourist mobility of the confederal system.
