The changes in public opinion in recent weeks have been minimal. But in the extremely even state of opinion that prevails, even the smallest of changes lead to anxiety-filled heads of election strategists.
According to a FivethirtyEights comparison of opinion polls, Kamala Harris has lost support in all the swing states in the last two weeks.
The change is most evident in Michigan (-1.0 percentage points) and in Wisconsin (-1.2). Harris still has a near-insignificant lead in both states, but the development is causing concern among Democrats.
