An unusual champion is currently dominating the botlane, even though he doesn’t actually belong there

In League of Legends, unusual picks occasionally emerge, but they are absolutely dominant in their lane and are even better than the well-known champions of this position. A tank has currently found its way into the botlane and is absolutely dominating there.

If you currently look at the statistics on sites like U.GG, the top 5 champions in the ADC position in terms of win rate are not ADCs at all. In addition to the Mages, who discovered the position for themselves not long ago, there is a surprising candidate in first place.

According to Winrate, Tahm Kench is currently the best ADC. He has an extremely high win rate of 54.26%. In his original main position, the top plane, he has a solid but unspectacular 50.66%. The surprising thing is that it is the statistics for all ranks combined. So he’s not just strong at a certain skill level. (As of: November 18, 2023)

Champions regularly dominate in lanes where they don’t actually belong:

But why is he currently so strong? Nothing has changed in his regular items. He still remains the tank with Heartsteel that is incredibly difficult to defeat. His best partner in the botlane is probably Senna. While Tahm Kench farms the minions, Senna gets souls and gets stronger by the minute.

Her item build also allows her to become strong very early and deal good damage. During the landing phase, Senna can poke well thanks to her range and Tahm Kench also has a good source of damage thanks to his Q ability. Because of the shield and the heal of his E ability, Tahm Kench is also difficult to defeat. Senna also has additional healing potential.

Both champions are also great for and against ganks. Tahm Kench’s W ability means he can escape from ganks well, but he can also gank himself very well and surprise opponents. With his ultimate he can take Senna or other teammates with him and use his CC to drive opponents crazy.

How long Tahm Kench will stay this good is questionable. Because if things continue like this, he will definitely be nerfed. The next patch will be released next week.
