740 euro gaming PC costs more online than in the supermarket
What kind of PC is this? In a local supermarket, Reddit user Fragrant_Jaguar2440 came across a discounted offer for a gaming PC. A sign with a price reduced by almost 200 euros and an overview of the installed components aroused the user’s interest.
However, it was not immediately clear to the unknowing user whether the price of 740 euros was really a good offer. Since he had never owned a computer before, he decided to ask the Reddit community for advice so as not to make typical beginner mistakes.
How much money does he save when buying? Fragrant_Jaguar2440 shared his find with the community on Reddit and asked whether he should buy the gaming PC for the mentioned amount. At the time, the computer was still listed in the retailer’s online shop for the equivalent of 930 euros.

The user Gamebird8 calculated what the components would cost individually. When put together, the price is between 915 and 1,100 euros. Added to this is the effort involved in assembling the system yourself and wiring it properly so that there is no chaos in the computer.
The i5-134004 and the RTX 4060 alone cost around 460 euros, 2 TB SSD around 90 euros, 32 GB of RAM another 90 – 180 euros, keyboard and mouse 45 – 90 euros. Not to forget the mainboard, the operating system and a housing, which together are another 230 to 280 euros.
This assembly will probably cost more than 900 euros if you assemble everything yourself.
