In Wild Hearts you can equip yourself for your fights with a wide range of weapon types. We will therefore show you which weapons exist at the release and how you can unlock them.
How many weapons are there in Wild Hearts? EA has created a total of 8 weapons for Wild Hearts that you can use against a wide variety of monsters on Minato. Weapons include:
We will now go into the details of the individual weapons, show you what they look like, what they are capable of and, most importantly, when you can get them.
All weapons in Wild Hearts and how to unlock them
Each weapon in Wild Hearts offers a different fighting style. Whether you prefer to smash everything offensively and aggressively with a hammer or passively shoot everything away with a cannon. There is something for every fighting style preference. Let’s get to the first weapon.
claw blades
What is this weapon? The clawed blade, as the name suggests, is a weapon with a short blade and a claw. With said claw you can cling to monsters, while you can leave cuts with the blade.
It is very practical, especially at short but also medium distances, and can be used for quick attacks. It is almost useless in long-range combat, but thanks to its claw it can ensure that you always have your targets on a leash like dogs. So you can always pull yourself up to them and attack them out of the blue.

arc
What is this weapon? This is a large bow with many possibilities to use it. Either you fire weak arrows into the monster, which mark this, or strong arrows that cause high damage. Both can be used as you wish. But when you combine both, the true power of your bow unfolds.
So use the weak arrows first and spike the monster with them. Then fire a final powerful shot and detonate all previous projectiles stuck in the monster. Additional fire modes like a volley of arrows or even a barrage are also available, and his agile moveset will make you harder to target.

Karakuri katana
What is this weapon? The Karakuri Katana is a beginner-friendly weapon. It primarily covers close ranges, but can also cover medium ranges if you activate its second form. You can activate this if you have carried out enough hits on your target. The sword then opens into a whip that performs many quick but devastating cuts.

Blade Wagasa
What is this weapon? The Blade Wagasa is an umbrella with blades. The weapon is simple and gets stronger the more often you hit your target. On top of that, your screen can parry monster projectiles that make you stronger and give you a chance to counterattack.

cannon
What kind of weapon is that? The cannon isn’t as agile as the bow, but has devastating attacks if you know how to use it. The cannon has three fire modes and a special effect:
You can create five ki zones with your cannon, which you can deploy or resume at will on the battlefield. Your Ki is important here, because your Ki bar is reduced for each shot fired until you can no longer fire any bullets. So with the ki zones, your ki will be continuously regenerated as you step into them.
A small side effect of your continuous fire is the overheating of the weapon. When it glows, you can fire a mortar shot at your target. This deals damage and creates a red Ki field.
This red aura in the field can be sucked up with the cannon, which activates a third fire mode, namely laser shot. The laser blast fires a beam of pure energy that continuously deals damage until your Ki is depleted. You can increase the duration of the beam when standing in a ki zone.

nodachi
What kind of weapon is that? The Nodachi is a greatsword with special attacks that unfolds its true strength in close combat. You can perform normal attacks, but briefly holstering your sword will charge your blade steadily. Once you’ve charged up the greatsword, you can deliver a final blow that rips open the surrounding ground.

hammer
What kind of weapon is that? The hammer is a difficult tool to master. You can easily stomp your opponents at close and medium ranges, but you have to stick to given timings. After each successful hit you can increase the weapon thanks to an effect, but only if you keep to the timings mentioned above. However, these are very short.
In the heat of the moment, you can quickly lose your rhythm and screw up your combo. So practice hard and once you get the hang of it, any monster can be buried under your hammer.

Karakuri Staff
What are these weapons? At first glance, the Karakuri Staff looks like a boring stick, but it hides a whopping five weapons:
The basic form of this tool is the staff, but after each successful combo you can transform this staff into another weapon. If you then increase your attack bar after each species change, you can pull a huge greatsword out of your sleeve that has a tremendous punch.

Can you improve the weapons? All weapons can be built and modified in the workshop. In addition, you can assign different elements to your weapons to help you in your hunt. Every monster has its weaknesses and so you can arm yourself with different builds for every fight.
These were all known weapons that will be available at release. What do you think of the selection and which weapon convinced you? Let us know what you think about it in the comments!
