Finland got one place in men’s archery for the Summer Olympics. The Olympic Committee will make the next athlete selections for the Paris Games on Monday, July 1. At the same time, a decision is made on the possible use of the archery ground.

– The opportunity to continue the tradition of participating in the traditional Olympic sport is a really great thing, rejoices the chairman of the Finnish Archery Association Kari Koskinen in the bulletin.

The best Finnish man on the world list is Antti Tekoniemi ranked 44. He was 57th in the Olympic qualifying tournament held in Turkey in mid-June.

Represented Finland at the Tokyo Games Antti Vikström is ranked 314. Vikström unexpectedly got a place in the Tokyo Games, where he reached the 33rd place.

After Tekoniemi and Vikström are on the list Verne Vuorinen (493:s), Sampo Ronkanen (650’s), Jouni Aartola (832:s) and Try Ekholm (892:s).
