Berkin Usta was a recognized athlete in Türkiye, having participated in the Winter Olympic Games in 2022 with his country.

This drama comes when the hotel was no longer to welcome from the public. “We inspected this hotel in January. We identified shortcomings and reported them to the competent authorities … The hotel was declared closed. An investigation is underway to determine why 12 people were inside. If it is negligence, it must be revealed,” said the mayor of the Turkish city after the drama.
