An item in CoD is more expensive than the actual game – Now does what it should after 3 months

In Call of Duty: Warzone and Call of Duty: MW3, there has been a cooperation with Godzilla x Kong for some time. The franchise has been lending CoD the BEAST gloves, which are among the most expensive items in the game.

What kind of item is this? The item in question are the BEAST gloves, which are part of the collaboration between Call of Duty and Godzilla x Kong.

The gloves are available as a reward for purchasing 4 Kong x Godzilla bundles in the shop. Each bundle costs around 2,400 Call of Duty Points, which is the equivalent of around €20.

However, the gloves were rather unspectacular for a long time, apart from their price. They had no special animation, nor did it feel to the players as if they were hitting their opponents with King Kong’s fist. So the item didn’t really do what you would expect it to. But a new update has now changed that.

New update gives the gloves real power

What does the new update bring? The new update to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Call of Duty: Warzone has finally given the gloves some real power. When players hit their opponents with them, they fly many meters through the air, just as if King Kong himself were striking.

The players who have the gloves can therefore be happy that the opponents are now flying through the map, as was probably intended from the beginning.

In a video on X.com, DETONATED shows what the new animation looks like now:

When the gloves were first introduced, players had previously complained that they didn’t even knock down enemies. The comments that have now been made about the update are correspondingly positive.

What do players say about the update? Many players weren’t expecting an update to the gloves. The gloves came into the game in April 2024 and nothing happened until the update at the end of July.

@KiyyDumb writes on X.com: “Why did they change it months later? I would have bought it on day one if they had.”

@SquashyButton29 still doesn’t think the price on X.com is justified: “I mean, it’s good that there’s a fun additional effect now, but it’s still crazy that you have to spend $80 to unlock that.”

@BLACGOKU says on X.com: “It’s definitely worth it to me now 😂.”

At around €80, the gloves are still more expensive than the game itself. Even with the new animation, players don’t really think the price is justified. But when the animation didn’t exist, the outcry was even louder: CoD MW3: Fans are annoyed about gorilla gloves for €80 – “I was hoping for an animation”
