An infamous weapon continues to frustrate players in CoD MW3 despite the nerf and dominates the meta in Warzone

A rifle was always a topic of conversation in the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Reddit and was considered a surgical weapon. Now, despite the nerf, she continues to dominate the Warzone meta.

What weapon is it about? The Bas-B is considered a very powerful weapon in CoD MW 3 and was a recurring topic in the game’s Reddit community for months.

The weapon’s “Time-To-Kill” (TTK) was too short for many. The rifle only needs 4 hits to kill an opponent. This is little compared to other weapons in CoD MW3.

There was frustration among Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 players. Players who use the weapon are sometimes insulted as “noobs,” as various Reddit posts show.

Still strong despite nerf

Was there the desired nerf? Yes, the weapon was probably slightly nerfed with the Season 1 patch. The Bas-B should now do slightly less damage. However, there are still complaints from the community.

In a Reddit thread, a player complains that with the right modifications, the weapon can still kill an enemy in 4 shots with little recoil.

There are different opinions in the comments.

  • Tenshi-01 agrees with the author: “The weapon needs a nerf. This thing is the best SMG, the best AR [Sturmgewehr]Battle Rifle and Sniper Rifle in the game.”
  • Ok-Cartoonist7060 cannot understand the thread author’s opinion: “Sure, it [die Bas-B] needs a nerf but that’s a bad opinion. Why shouldn’t people use it to stay competitive instead of complaining on Reddit?”
  • flippakitten can understand the author, but now thinks differently: “I used to have the same attitude until I decided to just use the broken meta weapons. […] These things are broken on purpose, and you’re doing yourself a disservice if you try to assert moral superiority when there isn’t actually any left.”

    • After the nerf, the weapon no longer seems to frustrate the community as much as before.

    The weapon is also popular in Warzone

    What about the weapon in Warzone? The weapon is almost even more popular in Warzone than in MW3. A number of YouTubers have published videos about Bas-B in the past few weeks and show how strong it is in Warzone.

    The high damage with little recoil and the range make the weapon in Warzone even stronger than in MW3.

    Since the patch, there has been no further information about balancing from Call of Duty. So there probably won’t be a new patch with balancing changes until 2024 that could nerf the Bas-B.
