In the English Premier League, Manchester City returned to the top of the league on Wednesday evening, when they beat West Ham 3-0 at their home stadium. City, the favorite to win, is now one point ahead of Arsenal, who have played one game more than Manchester.
Norwegian striker Erling Haaland made history in the match and took the Premier League record for goals scored in one season. The 22-year-old Haaland scored his 35th goal of the season, while the previous single-season record is 34 goals.
