How many players are affected? According to Reddit.com, Playstation had around 100 million active users in the USA in the summer of 2024, half of which (49 million) on PlayStation 4. What the official figures in Germany look like is not known, but here too some are still likely to be their PS4 Play.
Not all players should be switched to a PS5, since many developers continue to offer a version for PS4 and one for the PS5. You can find all games that you can upgrade from the PS4 to the PS5 version free of charge.
