An important bug that bothered Apex Legends players also appeared

In the last tournament of Apex Legends held in Japan, a bug appeared that caused quite a bit of trouble to one of the participating teams.

Apex Legends, one of the popular games of e-sports, already has a large global player base. However, like other battle royale games, Apex Legends can have bugs from time to time. Especially in the last Japanese tournament, a mistake that was very costly for a team draws attention.

Rampart will probably be less preferred

Apex Legends, which first stepped into the e-sports scene with the Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS) in 2020, continued its popularity with its fast gameplay and extra playable characters. Unfortunately, not all characters are popular in the competitive scene, and an unexpected bug with Season 6 character Rampart could make him less favored in future tournaments.

Apex Legends player Maro Maro suffered an incredibly unfortunate mistake with Rampart’s towers at a Japanese tournament. When landing from a Rampart tower after shooting at enemy players, it was teleported just below the ground. He was then quickly surrounded by another enemy team that had previously lurked downstairs, and was of course immediately hit. Many fans and players said that Rampart may no longer be used in competitive play after it proved to be a potential risk to teams’ success.

Rampart already had limited options in Apex Legends tournaments due to the effect of the meta available, but this particular bug has made its use even more cautious.

The exact cause of the Apex Legends Rampart error is unknown

Some cited landing at an awkward angle from the Rampart tower as the cause of the ground fault. Others sarcastically suggested that there was a deliberate leak of a new Apex character capable of traveling underground.

Given that many different games are played at the competitive esports level, some team organizations have to choose which field to play on. Because game-breaking mistakes can cost teams losing a game or even a tournament, many large organizations may see this as a potential reason to withdraw from such pitches.

But that shouldn’t be the case for Apex Legends. Unfortunately, this was quite unfortunate. It was even more upsetting, especially if it happened during a tournament. However, it seems like a mistake that is very unlikely to happen again.
