An evening with Zentone #dub #hexagon

With Matthew Bablee (Zenzile) and Dom Peter (High Tone).

Together and separately… Like the acme of an innovative and progressive thought that conceives the group, the whole without denying the individual, the intimate; and that we would sum up with an explicit “together and separately”; this brand new opus Zentone is the result of a meeting at the top Zenzile / High tone, of a collective work finalized in solo, in the creative lair of each of the entities in question.

A volume 2 or rather two volumes 2 expected.

In August 2006,Zenzile and High tone published Zentone, an album accompanied by the mention “Zenzile Meets High Tone“. This split-album born in the wake of a series of joint concerts, was marketed on CD and vinyl, with in each format a distinct content, drawn from the ten titles recorded together and then mixed, each on their side. A decade and a half later, they’re doing it again, and again, it’s a concert (at the Métaphone in 2019) that sets things on fire. It must be said that the Angevins as the Lyonnais share since their beginning, a pronounced taste for instrumental dub, the one that is conceived in the studio as on stage instruments in hand. This Chapter 2 takes shape on the eve of the 3rd confinement, in their respective studios, in Angers or on the slopes of the Croix Rousse in the Capital of Gaul.
