An economical and sustainable solution to take advantage of a well in the garden

To enjoy a water reserve for the garden it is always possible to install one or more rainwater collectors. However, these water reserves remain limited by their volume. Determine the presence of water in your garden

Before starting the implementation, it is necessary to locate the presence of a water table or a water vein in your land, then determine its characteristics (drilling depth, debit…). To achieve this, several solutions are available to you:

• call on a dowser: traditional and risky method, it is advisable to check with your neighborhood to find the right person;

A muscular implementation

Once the water table or vein is located, you can install the striking point. With a length of 1.21 meters and equipped with a hexagonal point, this element sinks in with mass in the ground up to the water table or the water vein. A pump according to water needs

To use the water captured by the striking point, it is necessary to connect a surface pump at the outlet. via an anti-sand filter and a non-return valve. Choose the latter according to:

• your daily consumption (expressed in m³ or l / min);
• the total manometric head (HMT). This corresponds to the sum of the height difference, the pressure useful and pressure drop.

Water being a precious commodity, out of the question to do anything and anyhow. Whatever the depth of the well, before taking groundwater, it is imperative to establish a town hall a work declaration one month before the start of the work and to attach a extract from the land register (failing that a 1/25000 map) locating the sampling point.
