An EA Sports FC 24 employee explains why the split from FIFA is a benefit for players

You certainly have to get used to the new name EA Sports FC 24. Starting next year, the Canadian development team and FIFA will go their separate ways.

In an interview with 3DJuegos LATAM, FC 24 Creative Director Samuel Rivera spoke about the impact of the separation from FIFA.

Above all, he sees one point as a major advantage after the end of the partnership. You can find out here which one it is.

FC 24: “We don’t have to stick to any rules in terms of content.”

It will be a while before the FIFA successor is launched. In an interview with 3DJuegos, the creative director of FC 24, Samuel Rivera, was now explicitly asked about the end of the collaboration with FIFA.

When asked about the changes that will result for FC 24 as a result of the separation from FIFA, Rivera saw new opportunities, especially in cooperation with other, big brands.

Using Nike as an example, the EA employee explained that completely new commercial opportunities would arise. “Now you can see a lot more Nike content,” Rivera said. This is one of the advantages and just the beginning.

What other partnerships are planned? Rivera has yet to provide more detailed information about other projects with big brand names. “There will be a lot more” is the only statement he made that emerges from the interview.

What advantages do players have? This new independence will also show up on the field, because before you had to stick to “certain rules”. You can now just do what you think is appropriate. However, Rivera does not become more specific on this point either.

EA Sports seems ambitious to want to make the best possible use of the separation from FIFA. Except for the Nike event, which will probably also be the first Ultimate Team promo, detailed announcements remain scarce. Information about the Nike campaign can be found in the FC 24 pre-order bonuses.

Our Spanish colleagues from 3DJuertos dare to go a little further with their forecasts. For them, the separation from FIFA could result in far-reaching changes for gameplay and stadium atmosphere.

Due to the vague statements so far and the lack of in-game sources, we are still reluctant to make such predictions. But what we like to speculate about are the ratings of the ten best players in FC 24.
