Zamfara State Governorship Spokesperson Mugira Yusuf stated in his statement that unidentified armed men attacked the university in the Gusau region of the state in the early hours of the morning.
24 OUT OF 35 PEOPLE ARE STUDENTS
Yusuf noted that 35 people, including 24 students, were kidnapped in the attack.
Zamfara state has been facing attacks from armed gangs for 5 years. Although the penalty for kidnapping is death, kidnappings for ransom are common in the country. (AA)
