An apartment building partially collapsed after an explosion in The Hague | News in brief

In the Netherlands, at least four people have been injured in an explosion in an apartment building, as a result of which a fire broke out and the building partially collapsed, the authorities say.

The explosion took place near the center of the city of The Hague in a three-story building. Immediately after the event, it was not clear if there were people missing or trapped in the ruins.

Dozens of firefighters are there. The fire is spreading a lot of smoke to nearby areas, and residents have been advised to keep windows and ventilation closed.

The cause of the explosion was not immediately clear.
