He had won over critics and the Cannes jury, to the point of receiving the Palme d’Or at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival: Anora will soon hit movie theaters in an attempt to seduce the French public. Directed by American filmmaker Sean Baker (The Florida Project, Red Rocket), this comedy-drama follows the journey of a young Brooklyn stripper whose life becomes a modern-day fairy tale when she meets and marries the son of an extremely wealthy Russian oligarch. But when Prince Charming’s parents find out about the union, the dream turns into a nightmare for Anora, who is not about to give in.
In the casting, the public will discover the amazing Mikey Madison (Scream, The Voice of the Lake, Once upon a time… in Hollywood) in the lead role, opposite Mark Eydelshteyn, Yuri Borissov (Compartment no. 6) or Cow Tovmasyan.
