an Al Ahly – Raja clash in the quarters

The 2021-22 Champions League quarter-finals will take place on April 15-16 (first leg) and April 22-23 (return). Here are the posters: Al Ahly (Egypt) – Raja Casablanca (Morocco), ES Sétif (Algeria) – Espérance Tunis (Tunisia), CR Belouizdad (Algeria) – Wydad Casablanca (Morocco) and Petro Atletico (Angola) – Mamelodi Sundowns (Africa) from South).

Ah Ahly and Raja Casblanca, two giants of African football, have never faced each other in the final of a continental competition, except for the CAF Super Cup won by the Egyptian club (1-1, 6-5 TAB) last December. And that’s not about to change. Indeed, the most successful formation in the history of the Champions League (C1) and its Moroccan rival will meet in the quarter-finals of the C1.

It is one of three North African clashes with ES Sétif (Algeria) – Espérance Tunis (Tunisia) and CR Belouizdad (Algeria) – Wydad Casablanca (Morocco).

The last quarter-final will oppose two clubs from the Cosafa zone: Petro Atletico (Angola) – Mamelodi Sundowns (South Africa).
