Israeli negotiators are now closer to an agreement to release Gaza hostages than at any time since the ceasefire in November last year, says Israel’s defense minister Israel Katz. According to the spokesperson, Katz told the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Israeli Parliament.
The high representative of the extremist organization Hamas in Qatar also said that the agreement is closer than ever. However, a representative of Hamas, who spoke anonymously to the news agency AFP, warned that the Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu may still sabotage the birth of the agreement, as he has already done several times before, according to Hamas.
