Today there are a thousand and one Advent calendars, and probably even more, but few have been designed to improve social bonds or ease tensions in couples. This is now done with a completely free Advent calendar, developed by psychotherapist Florentine d’Aulnois-Wang, which invites couples to (re)connect through small daily rituals to carry out throughout the month of December.
We will have understood, it is not exactly a question of saving his relationship – although – but of allowing him to rediscover a connection and a complicity before the end-of-year holidays, a period which can be a source of conflicts and tensions. “When the couple goes through a complex period, this family celebration is experienced like a nightmare. There is nothing better to exacerbate tensions than to be all together, during a week’s vacation, with family, in-laws and children… So, every year after the holidays, therapists’ offices full of couples for whom Christmas was one party too many“, we can read in a press release.
This calendar was developed by a couples therapist, Florentine d’Aulnois-Wang, exclusively for couples, in order to rekindle the flame, relieve tension, get out of a crisis, be more available, or simply enjoy a moment for two, something that is not always easy on a daily basis. Considered “a calendar that warms hearts”, this new kind of challenge is not only aimed at couples in crisis, but at all those who wish to be (more) attentive and caring towards towards their life partner.
Based on the “Love Intelligence” method, the calendar can be downloaded online, free. To do this, simply enter your first name and email address. Once this step has been completed, all you have to do is wait to receive an email on December 1st, as for the opening of the very first box of an ordinary Advent calendar. It is not specified what kind of actions will be carried out each day, but this will result in “a gesture, an action, a small step”, “a small ritual to be experienced as a couple”, intended to please the couple. ‘other (and to oneself). And the spouse can also be invited to register to fully share this experience designed for the peace of couples.
“We want everyone to be able to find peace to live this Christmas period fully, peaceful, connected, present and in love, thanks to small keys that will have a big impact on the couple’s relationship.“, explains Florentine d’Aulnois-Wang, in the press release.
