Amy Deasismont on “Thunder in my heart” season 2: “Most challenging…”
For News24 tells Amy Deasismont that the most difficult thing during the filming of season 2 has been having so many different roles in the production at the same time.
– I think what has been most challenging has been daring to throw myself into one hundred percent responsibility over an episode at all levels, and also having an overall responsibility for the tone of the entire season. So it’s probably been both going into acting and doing emotional scenes, and then directing others. There are several different tracks buzzing at the same time. It has been a huge challenge.

Amy Deasimont has been a big name long before “Thunder in my heart”. As a 12-year-old, she became known mainly among the younger part of the population under the name Amy Diamond, and for many 90s the child star became an obvious part of growing up.

Her song catalog includes the hits “Shooting star”, the interlude “Thank you” and “What’s in it for me”. The latter is perhaps the most famous among the child star’s songs with roughly 13 million streams on Spotify. With what exactly is the story behind the iconic song?
– I did a lot of talent competitions and things like that when I was little. I was around singing in many squares and stuff like that. And then it was an A&R from a record company who saw me in Skövde, I think. He first sent me a song called “Shooting Star”, which I also released later. Then he also sent “What’s In It For Me”, and then I got to record it in the studio and after that I got a record deal, says Amy Deasismont and continues:
– I felt that I had waited a long time to be able to work with music, but I was only 12, so it happened very quickly. But I was very impatient.
Will Amy Deasismont release music again?
Those hoping that Amy Deasismont will pick up the music ball again will unfortunately have to wait a while longer. Namely, she chooses to focus on filmmaking right now.
– Right now I’ve had so much focus on this and I really want to continue with scriptwriting and directing, so that’s my focus going forward. But I certainly haven’t closed the door completely. It’s not that I will never take a tone again, but right now it feels like it will be the focus film for quite some time to come, I think, she tells Nyheter24.
