Amouranth became famous with certain content on Twitch – now there are new rules for her “heiresses”

KaitlynAmourantheSiragusa is considered a pioneer of the infamous “Hot Tub” meta on Twitch. Other streamers have now followed in the 30-year-old’s footsteps. Find out what’s changing on Twitch at MeinMMO.

What content is it about? Kaitlyn “Amouranth” Siragusa is a master at pushing the limits of what is allowed on Twitch. She became extremely successful with her method of offering revealing content on Twitch and then funneling fans to payment platforms.

There are now many streamers who use a similar strategy to Amouranth. So-called pool streamers are also represented in the Twitch charts in Germany – much to the displeasure of some viewers and creators.

Users repeatedly complained about sexualized content on the Twitch homepage. Now the streaming platform is reacting and is simultaneously becoming stricter and more relaxed when it comes to nudity.

Twitch allows more, but shows less

What changes now? The two changes were announced in an official blog post on December 13, 2023.

  • The guidelines for sexual content should be simplified and made more understandable. Content that was previously not permitted will be tolerated on Twitch in the future: content that “deliberately highlights the breasts, buttocks or pelvic area” or “fictionalizes them […] female read breasts, genitals and buttocks [vollständig entblößen]“. However, the prerequisite is that the streams are provided with an appropriate label.
  • To this end, sexualized content as well as content containing drugs, intoxicants, excessive tobacco consumption, depictions of violence or gambling should no longer appear among the recommended streams on the Twitch homepage.
  • Twitch justifies the decision by saying that female streamers were “disproportionately disadvantaged” by the old regulations. At the same time, however, we also recognize that not everyone wants to see this type of content (via X).

Streamers or female streamers can now design their content more freely without having to expect bans. At the same time, users are no longer confronted with “bare facts” when they first look at the homepage.

The rule change comes just a few days after a new meta made the rounds on Twitch: The streamer and OnlyFans actress “Morgpie” appeared shirtless during her streams and was banned on December 11, 2023.

It seems as if Twitch now wants to please everyone with the new guidelines. The first voices in the comments on Twitch have been positive so far.

For many content creators, such a ban means that they no longer have any income – others benefit from it:
