Last year the province started a trial with free public transport for people over 66 who are fully dependent on their AOW benefit. According to the alderman, that was a great success. “More than six hundred Amersfoort households made use of this at the time, now a much larger group of residents can participate,” says Alderman Tyas Bijlholt (D66).
