Amersfoorter acquitted of causing explosions in the home but guilty

AMERSFOORT – A 22 -year -old Amersfoorter who was suspected of two explosions at a house on the Liendertseweg in Amersfoort has been acquitted by the court for insufficient evidence. On Sunday evening, May 12, 2023, a Cobra was thrown through the letterbox at the house. The next night there was a second explosion. This time it was a bottle of flammable liquid to which heavy fireworks were attached. On the cap of the bottle was the DNA of suspect MM, who is a friend of the police. But the court finds this insufficient to determine with certainty that he also caused the explosions.
