Amersfoort – “I hope you will judge mildly, my mother’s heart is bigger!” A woman from Amersfoort argued this in the Utrecht court where her 28-year-old son was on trial this afternoon for aggravated assault, gagging, threats and violent robbery from his own mother. The woman herself thought that she would not survive the attack by her son. She was beaten hard in the face, he pulled her scarf tight around her neck and dragged her on the ground like old dirt. Despite the degrading event that scarred her for life, she showed touchingly forgiving when she was given the floor by the court.
