In addition, we have an incredible number of residents who are committed to each other and to their city or village. While Amersfoort has been growing rapidly for decades, that strong involvement and community spirit remains intact. Amersfoorts sometimes want to be modest when it comes to their city, but this prestigious international award, I see as recognition that there is enough to be proud of.”
