According to Het AD, sources revealed to the newspaper that Ayoub M. attacked his mother in Nijkerk in 2022. The woman sustained injuries to her hands and neck in the stabbing. A few days before the incident, Ayoub M. allegedly violently resisted a law enforcement officer and destroyed the inside of an Arnhem police cell, the newspaper reports.
