Amersfoort, Soest, Baarn, Leusden, Woudenberg and Eemnes have already said yes. They decided to make a plan together to generate 500 gigawatt hours (GWh) of sustainable electricity from 2030. In this way, they want to prevent the province of Utrecht from deciding where wind farms will be built. After tough negotiations, the seven aldermen came up with a list of locations where, as far as they are concerned, wind energy or solar energy may be generated.
