The US aid package to Ukraine has been voted down in the Senate.
The proposal, which would involve aid of just over 60 billion dollars to Ukraine, was presented as a bill for a total of 118 billion dollars. It included, among other things, $14 billion to Israel, humanitarian aid to Gaza, aid to war refugees and money to strengthen the US’s southern border.
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, a Democrat, says he will quickly get a second vote to approve the foreign aid.
