Amelia Adamo on the first meeting with Lucio Benvenuto
Amelia met the hairdresser Lucio Benvenuto at a party in June 2009 and since then they have been together. The couple’s love began with a kiss that made Amelia “lift off the ground”. The kiss and mutual love led to a long and happy relationship.
– When I met Lucio, it was as if the circle was closed. He was a mother man to me, coming in with garlic and pasta and just taking over the kitchen. From him I got something I had longed for all my life, but never got, Amelia tells The Express.

Last Thursday Amelia’s great love sadly passed away, which The Express was the first to report on.
In an email to Amelia Adamo’s closest friends on Thursday, she is said to have written:
“Now Lucio’s and my days are over. In the morning today, 19/2, he sailed over to the other shore. The trip went smoothly and without pain. His bone marrow cancer progressed to aggressive leukemia and within six days of the announcement he was taken from us. We were all there, children and grandchildren, and loved him until his last breath”.
The couple had 15 wonderful years together. In an interview with Expressen, Amelia says that the time in life when the couple met was decisive for their long relationship.
– When you meet later in life, you have a completely different tolerance for the partner not being a copy of yourself. You probably also don’t have the same tendency to see your partner as a project and try to change. We also both knew we were at an age where it’s stupid to argue. We just wanted to live, Amelia tells The Express.
