(Telestock) – Advanced Micro Devices announced the completion of theAcquisition of ZT Systemsa major provider in the field of cloud computing and artificial intelligence. The operation has a value of $4.9 billion., including a payment of up to $400 million based on certain additional milestones.
The aim of the acquisition is clearly to counter the rival’s dominance Nvidia. AMD in fact defines this “strategic” operation and explains that it “marks the next step in the AI development strategy”, to provide its customers, as Microsoft And Half AI-based systems, infrastructures and solutions.

AMD started today on the Nasdaq market with a gain of more than 2%.
