AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D spotted on CPU-Z. The new processor pushes the performance limits with 5.6+ GHz speed and 128 MB total L3 cache.
AMD’s new generation flagship processor AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3Dappeared in CPU-Z and attracted attention with its technical features. The processor promises a huge performance increase for both gamers and professionals by offering 5.6+ GHz boost speed and 128 MB total L3 cache. Equipped with 3D V-Cache technology, this processor offers higher gaming and productivity performance than previous generations. Additionally, it comes with 16 cores and 32 threads, and energy consumption is limited to 170W TDP.
Highlights of AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D
The new AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D does not experience a decrease in clock speeds, unlike the previous generation X3D processors. According to CPU-Z screenshots, it comes with a boost speed of 5.65 GHz. This speed confirms that the processor was tested with the engineering sample codename “Granite Ridge”. The processor’s 96 MB + 32 MB L3 cache configuration stands out as a result of 3D V-Cache technology. This technology is achieved by placing an additional 64 MB L3 cache chip under the core complex (CCD).
This placement increases cooling performance by allowing the cores to come into direct contact with the heat spreader. This makes it possible for the processor to maintain high clock speeds and offer greater overclocking potential. The processor has two CCDs, each with 8 cores and 32 MB L3 cache.
AMD plans to introduce the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D processor at the CES 2025 event. At the same event, Radeon RX 9070 XT graphics cards and FSR 4 technology, developed with RDNA 4 architecture, will also be introduced. This processor aims to make a big leap forward, especially in gaming performance and productivity applications.
AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D is already seen as an exciting option for users looking for high performance and is expected to make a big impact with its official launch at CES 2025.
