Coming with AMD Ryzen 7000 series processors
In fact, it is possible to say that this announcement is an expected announcement. Because after AMD’s announcement on the laptop processors, the eyes were turned to the Ryzen 7000 series, which we have heard for a long time. The AMD Ryzen 7000 series, which is expected to have a significant performance increase compared to the previous generation Ryzen processors, will be released in the autumn months. The main features of this new series are summarized as follows;
Ryzen 7000 series key features
- Up to 16 Zen 4 Cores and 32 Threads
- Over 15% Performance Increase in Single-threaded Applications
- Brand New Zen 4 CPU Core (IPC / Architecture Improvements)
- Brand New TSMC 5nm process node with 6nm IOD
- Support on AM5 Platform with LGA1718 Socket
- Dual Channel DDR5 Memory Support
- 28 PCIe Lanes (CPU Specific)
- 105-120W TDPs (Upper Limit Range ~170W)
These new processors are also the first to use TSMC’s 5nm process node with 6nm IOD. On the other hand, it is expected to include improvements to the Zen 4 architecture and therefore provide a performance increase of over 15% in single-threaded games.
On the other hand, AMD aims to release CPU models that will have up to 16 Zen 4 cores and 32 threads. In this presentation, AMD also showed a 16-core Ryzen 7000 processor on the Ghostwire Tokyo game. Although it was observed that the new processor always works above 5Ghz during this game presentation, the company did not share any details about FPS information.
