A leaked information about the AMD Navi 31 GPU today reveals that the GPU has a 384-bit memory bus.
It turns out that the Navi 31 will support a wider 384-bit memory bus than the 256-bit memory bus in previous rumors. It was previously said that Navi 31 will come with 256-bit memory bus +32 GB GDDR6. However, according to the information revealed in the leak, it will have a 384-bit memory bus.
AMD Navi 31 GPU will be faster and cheaper
As far as we’ve been able to decipher from images posted by Twitter user “AMDGPU_”, the Navi 31 will not only increase the memory bandwidth of the 384-bit memory bus, but will also enable AMD to require fewer memory modules at the same time. This indicates that Navi 31-based products will be cheaper and may consume less energy.

ace @kopite7kimi pointed out, old info from last Oct is outdated ??
updated:
– 20% less WGP
– no more double GCD for N31/N32
– 6 MCD for N31 = 384 MB IF$
– 4 MCD for N32 = 256 MB IF$https://t.co/rj2G2gi9CU pic.twitter.com/yDqeTTdSAT— 3DCenter.org (@3DCenter_org) May 9, 2022
AMD is also reportedly using one graphics computing module combined with six memory computing modules inside the Navi 31’s MCM (multi-chip module) design.
We don’t know how accurate the information AMDGPU_ reveals, but it is a known fact that AMD has been working on faster and less energy-consuming GPUs for a long time. We should not be surprised if we see the results of these studies in the next generation.
