Niger’s coup plotters say the ambassadors from France, Nigeria, Togo and the United States no longer have any powers in the country.
On Thursday, a text was published in the Washington Post signed by the ousted Nigerian president Mohamed Bazoum.
“I am writing this as a hostage. Niger is under attack from a military junta that is trying to overthrow our democracy and I am just one of hundreds of citizens who have been arbitrarily and illegally imprisoned,” writes Bazoum.
